Regardless of how experienced a dressmaker/seamstress/sewist/sewer you are, failures do happen every now and then.
I recently had such a failure with Simplicity 8833. The finished dress was a complete disaster on me but I really liked the fabric and did not want to let it go to waste.
So I disassembled the dress and remade it into something I love.

I want to add that I don’t think the pattern is bad necessarily, it just didn’t work for me in the size and fabric I chose, but the ease is bonkers!
